Terms of membership

The plain version: we arrange the trip and can book the room; the rest of the bookings are yours with the providers; a deposit goes to your organizer and not to us; cancel whenever you like, and ask within fourteen days for an annual refund.
  1. 1Who we are

Caddie Co. is operated by [Caddie Co. legal entity] (“Caddie Co.”, “we”). These terms apply to everyone who uses https://caddieco.golf: members, who plan trips, and guests, who join a trip they were invited to.

By creating an account, joining a trip or choosing a membership, you agree to them.

  2. 2What Caddie Co. does, and does not do

Caddie Co. helps you plan golf trips and rounds: it suggests courses, places to stay, tables and transport, and gives the group one place to decide, pair up, keep score and settle up.

A place to stay can be booked here, through the supplier we search (see below). Everything else we arrange rather than book: tee times, tables, flights and cars are reserved and paid for directly with those providers, on their terms. We are not a travel agent.

Your caddie's suggestions are suggestions. Prices, fees, drive times and availability are estimates unless they come from the provider's own site, and they change. Check with the provider before you rely on anything, especially before you pay.

  3. 3Accounts

Membership is by request or by invitation from a member. Guests joining a trip get a free account for the trips they are invited to.

Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 18 to hold a membership and 13 to hold a guest account.

Organizers are responsible for who they invite and for the plans they share. Guests see what the organizer shares with the trip.

  4. 4Membership and billing

Your first trip is on us. After that, the Members' Club ($149 a year or $15 a month) or the Founders' Club ($399 a year or $39 a month), billed in advance by our payment processor, Stripe.

Memberships renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account; you keep your membership until the end of the period you have paid for.

Refunds: if you change your mind about an annual membership, ask within 14 days of it starting or renewing and we will refund it in full. Monthly memberships are not refunded, and we do not refund part of a period after those 14 days.

We may change prices for future periods. We will tell you at least 30 days before a change affects you, and you can cancel before it does. Members' Club allowances (three trips and twelve rounds a membership year) are described on the membership page.

  5. 5Booking a place to stay

When you book a room here, you are contracting with the accommodation and with the supplier that sells it — currently Nuitée (trading as LiteAPI) — and not with [Caddie Co. legal entity]. They take the payment, they hold the reservation, and their booking conditions and privacy terms apply to it alongside the property’s own. Caddie Co. is paid a commission by the supplier. You pay no more for booking here than you would elsewhere on that rate.

A rate is what the supplier quoted at the moment we asked, and we show you that moment. It can move or sell out before you book; if it does, we tell you the new figure and you choose again. Nothing is booked without your confirming the rate in front of you.

The cancellation policy shown before you book is the supplier's, in its own words as well as ours. Cancel through the same screen while that policy allows it and we will tell you what it costs first. Once a free-cancellation deadline has passed, we cannot undo a booking without the charge the policy sets, and neither can we waive it.

Refunds, changes, a room that is not what was described, or a property that will not honour a reservation are the supplier's and the property's responsibility under their terms. Tell us anyway — we will help you chase it, and we would rather know.

Passport names, dates of birth and any other guest details you give us are passed to the supplier and the property because a reservation cannot be made without them.

  6. 6Money between golfers

Games, side bets and settling up are a record the group keeps for itself. Caddie Co. never holds or moves money between golfers; payment links open Venmo or Cash App, and anything paid there is between you and them, on those services' terms.

When an organizer asks the group for a deposit, the money goes to the organizer, not to [Caddie Co. legal entity]. Stripe routes it to the organizer’s own Stripe account; we take nothing from it and we do not keep it. That means we cannot refund it either. If a trip changes or falls through, the organizer returns what they collected, and it is between the two of you the same as cash would be. Pay a deposit only to someone you would hand cash to.

Your card statement will show the organizer, because they are the merchant on the payment. Stripe may also email you a receipt on our behalf; it names the organizer and the trip.

An organizer collecting deposits is responsible for what they collect, for spending it on the trip, and for giving back what they do not spend. They will need to give Stripe their details before they can be paid, because it is their money. If a member disputes a deposit with their card issuer, Stripe holds Caddie Co. responsible for the amount even though the organizer received it, and the organizer agrees to make that good to us.

  7. 7Using Caddie Co. properly

Do not use Caddie Co. to break the law, to harass anyone, to post anything you do not have the right to share, to probe or overload the service, or to collect other members’ details. Do not resell access.

Comments and notes you post stay yours; you let us store and show them to the people on that trip so the product can work.

  8. 8Other services

Caddie Co. relies on and links to other services — Google (maps, places and sign-in), Apple (sign-in), Stripe (memberships and deposits), Nuitée / LiteAPI (accommodation), course and hotel websites, and payment apps. Their terms apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for them. We may change the supplier we search for accommodation; the terms of a booking you have already made do not change with it.

  9. 9Liability

Caddie Co. is provided as it is. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we do not promise it will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that a suggestion will be available, open, or priced as shown.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for anything arising from bookings you make with other providers, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

  10. 10Ending it

You can stop using Caddie Co. and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms; where we reasonably can, we will tell you why first. The Privacy Policy explains what happens to your information.

  11. 11Changes, law and contact

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.

These terms are governed by the laws of [State], United States.
